Cheshire House is a small family run bed and breakfast situated centrally in the historic village of Castleton. We aim to provide friendly yet unintrusive hospitality allowing guests to enjoy their stay at their own pace. We have been awarded a Visit England 3* rating. We aim to provide the ideal base to discover the surrounding, spectacular Peak District. The views from the house are magnificent, and many walks start from our door. Other major Peak District attractions in the area, within short driving distance include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam and Bakewell. There are various pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. A village store and Post Office are two minutes walk away. Our double ensuite bedrooms are tastefully decorated, equipped with colour television with freeview, hospitality tray, and other thoughtful extras to make your stay as comfortable as possible. One bedroom enjoys spectacular views of Win Hill, and the other across to Peveril Castle. Both newly fitted bathrooms are fully tiled with an electric shower, wash basin and toilet. Breakfast is served at individual tables in our stylish Dining Room. Our full English breakfast includes sausages made for us by our local butcher, and British bacon, local free-range eggs, mushrooms, and tomatoes. We are happy to offer a lighter alternative should you prefer it, perhaps a bacon sandwich, scrambled, boiled eggs or beans on toast. Finally enjoy toast with various preserves, served with a choice of tea or a cafetiere of coffee. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Uppertown Farm is a mid 17th century farmhouse with original farm buildings converted to independent self-catering holiday accommodation near Bakewell in Derbyshire. It is in a secluded position on the edge of the village of Birchover in the Peak District National Park and not far from the lovely market town of Bakewell. We have two holiday cottages available: The Byre is a tastefully converted detached barn with accommodation on one level for 4 - 6 people. It has its own large private garden with panoramic views of the countryside. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities, and a separate area with 2 adult-sized (3') bunk beds. There is a compact, well-equipped kitchen and splendid large dining/living room with original features including open fire, exposed stone walls and pitched roof. The kitchen and dining room have wonderful views of the countryside The Hayloft is a small apartment for two on the upper floor of a barn. The entrance is up a short external flight of stone steps with a handrail. This might not be suitable for a disabled person. The accommodation is all on one level, with a compact, well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen leads through to the spacious sitting/bedroom which has a double bed, sofa, TV and DVD. Original features in this room include an exposed stone wall, rafters and pitched roof. There is a bathroom with shower, hand-basin and toilet. Use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna* and spa* is included in your holiday (* age restrictions apply). Cycles are available to hire to explore the local tracks and trails. Many activities are available locally including golf, fishing, horse riding and sailing.

In the heart of the Derbyshire Dales and on the edge of the Peak District, Breach Farm is a 200 year old farmhouse situated in beautiful countryside with southerly views over the fields to Carsington Water.  We are situated half a mile outside Carsington, a small picturesque village with a pub and church.                                               The  farmhouse B&B has its own separate guests entrance, comfortable sitting room with log fire, colour television, DVD and a selection of books, games and magazines. Wi-Fi is also available. French doors open onto your own garden and patio. Enjoy a hearty English breakfast which is served in your sitting room. Locally produced bacon and sausage, Derbyshire oatcakes, homemade bread and eggs from our own free range hens. As well as a selection of fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts. Special diets can be catered for, but please advise on booking. In the area we have a selection of good pubs and restaurants for evening meals, or both Matlock and Ashbourne are within 7 miles if you would like more choice. We have two individually furnished bedrooms. Upstairs a Double with King sized brass bed, and downstairs a Twin room. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers. The bedrooms have radio/alarm clocks, hairdryers, a selection of magazines, Wi-Fi access and refreshment making facilities. We are in a ideal location for exploring Derbyshires many attractions, from the splendour of Chatsworth House and the many National Trust properties in the area to riding the trams at Crich Tramway Museum.  Discovering  the many walks in the White Peak with its limestone dales or the wide open spaces of the gritstone moors of the Dark Peak.  Cycling on the High Peak Trail, fishing or birdwatching at Carsington Water, or just having a exploring in the historic market towns of Ashbourne , Bakewell or Buxton. We are no longer a working farm but sheep graze our fields and our free-range hens do like to explore.   Our aim is to make our guests visit as comfortable as possible, and to help them enjoy their stay at Breach Farm and the surrounding area.
