Cheshire House is a small family run bed and breakfast situated centrally in the historic village of Castleton. We aim to provide friendly yet unintrusive hospitality allowing guests to enjoy their stay at their own pace. We have been awarded a Visit England 3* rating. We aim to provide the ideal base to discover the surrounding, spectacular Peak District. The views from the house are magnificent, and many walks start from our door. Other major Peak District attractions in the area, within short driving distance include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam and Bakewell. There are various pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. A village store and Post Office are two minutes walk away. Our double ensuite bedrooms are tastefully decorated, equipped with colour television with freeview, hospitality tray, and other thoughtful extras to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Bank Top Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage n the very heart of the Peak District National Park sleeping up to 4 people (two en-suite bedrooms) The front door opens into the cosy lounge with comfortable settees, dining area, TV, DVD and games and wi-fi. Through the arched door way is the kitchen, well equipped with ceramic hob and cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There are two bedrooms: a double and a twin both with their own en-suite shower rooms, each with WC and wash basin. There is an attractive south facing garden area with views over Millers Dale to the Monsal Trail. Garden furniture and barbecue provided. Bikes can be stored (please ask). Linen and towels central heating, fuel, power and wi-fi are included. A cot, high chair and stair gate can be requested. Ample parking is available at the cottage. Smoking is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult (please call if you wish to discuss). Well behaved pets and children are welcome. Millers Dale itself is a small tranquil village, surrounded by tree-clad hills, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. There is a local village pub, the small church and close access to the Monsal Trail and LImestone Way.  Sit and picnic by the River Wye in Cheedale, cycle to Bakewell or Buxton on the Monsal Trail and enjoy many fabulous walks in the area.
