Enjoying wonderful countryside views Rokeby cottage occupies a lovely position on Jaggers Lane in the beautiful Peak District National Park village of Hathersage.
Originally traditional accommodation for a farm worker's family; the cottage has been completely modernised to offer cosy, high quality, very well-equipped accommodation with delightful views and the amenities of the village on the doorstep. The cottage sleeps 2-3 people.
The living room has two sofas and an electric wooder-burner effect stove. The TV/DVD player together with some holiday DVDs are discretely positioned within a cupboard so that they can be kept out of the way if not required.
Pass though a low doorway to the well fitted kitchen with dining area. The kitchen includes all you would need for a self-catering break.
Through french windows to South-West facing patio with outside dining area and small utility room which houses washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double 'four poster' bed. There is also a single bedroom with south-westerly views. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and adequate space for bags to be stored.
Full gas central heating, additional heating from electric woodburner-effect stove in sitting room. Water is heated as it is used from a gas powered combi boiler.
Electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer in outside utility room (converted from outside toilet).

Discover our idyllic, Gold Award winning pretty country Church Farm Cottage and our fabulous 5 star Gold Award winning luxurious Ancestral Barn situated on our Organic Farm in Dovedale within the Peak District National Park. These lovingly restored cottages are situated in a truly unique position at the top of Hall Dale in Stanshope and therefore are ideally positioned for the Dovedale and Manifold Valleys. If you are looking for first class accommodation, surrounded by peaceful, stunning countryside then Church Farm is the place for you to get away from the demands of modern living!
Church Farm Cottage originally formed part of our main farmhouse which is Grade II listed, dating from around the 16th century and was featured in the "Period Living and Traditional Home" magazine. It is full of character with many original features of interest. As you enter the main hall there is a stone flagged floor and beamed ceiling. To the left is a fitted kitchen/dining room, also with a beamed ceiling, a gritstone fireplace, window seat and a quarry-tiled floor. Off the hall is the second bathroom with a shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet. The L-shaped lounge has a full-beamed ceiling and sandstone fireplace, inset with an old black range for those cosy open fires. You will find many needlework pictures done by the owner, and hand worked embroidery.There are polished floorboards throughout, covered with richly coloured rugs, which add considerably to the charm and tradition. The main bedroom includes a king-size canopy bed and wonderful open views across the surrounding countryside. The second bedroom has two good-sized 3'6" single beds. Both bedrooms are decorated to a high standard. The main bathroom consists of a bath, hand basin and toilet. The cottage has a secure private cottage garden.
Our ancestral barn infuses charm and character with beamed ceilings and panelled walls. This luxury barn is filled with antiques, has polished floors and richly coloured rugs. The lounge has a glorious open range fireplace and antique furniture. Three bedrooms (one accessible for the elderly or mobile disabled downstairs) feature splendid king-size canopy beds that are the very essence of comfort and luxury. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms, two with showers, and the master bedroom has a roll top bath. Go on treat yourselves, just walk, talk, relax, and soak up the peace of our delightful countryside and return to laze around a roaring fire.
We provide duvets, linen and towels. The cottage and barn both have oil-fired central heating and electricity included. There is a cooker, fridge, freezer, a washer/dryer, microwave, colour TV, free wifi, cots and high chair, garden furniture, external lighting, private gardens and parking. We accept pets by arrangement.

Bank Top Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage n the very heart of the Peak District National Park sleeping up to 4 people (two en-suite bedrooms)
The front door opens into the cosy lounge with comfortable settees, dining area, TV, DVD and games and wi-fi. Through the arched door way is the kitchen, well equipped with ceramic hob and cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
There are two bedrooms: a double and a twin both with their own en-suite shower rooms, each with WC and wash basin.
There is an attractive south facing garden area with views over Millers Dale to the Monsal Trail. Garden furniture and barbecue provided. Bikes can be stored (please ask).
Linen and towels central heating, fuel, power and wi-fi are included. A cot, high chair and stair gate can be requested. Ample parking is available at the cottage. Smoking is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult (please call if you wish to discuss).
Well behaved pets and children are welcome.
Millers Dale itself is a small tranquil village, surrounded by tree-clad hills, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. There is a local village pub, the small church and close access to the Monsal Trail and LImestone Way. Sit and picnic by the River Wye in Cheedale, cycle to Bakewell or Buxton on the Monsal Trail and enjoy many fabulous walks in the area.
